WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
At your introductory appointment, we will take a full set of x-rays. If you have recently had x-rays taken by another dentist, we will attempt to obtain and use these instead whenever possible. Once any required x-rays are taken, we will complete a comprehensive examination. This exam includes a clinical exam of existing teeth, an oral cancer screening and a periodontal evaluation.
We will also ask you to fill out some forms about your medical history. If you have any health problems or conditions that would require antibiotics prior to dental treatment (such as a heart condition or artificial implants of any kind), please let us know when making your appointment.
If extensive or cosmetic dentistry is required or requested, diagnostic casts or models will be taken of your mouth and we will ask you to return for a consultation appointment. Our staff will help you identify and weigh all your options during this consultation.
