Cosmetic Dentistry

We offer a variety of state-of-the-art Cosmetic Dentistry here at North Idaho Dental Group. Your confidence starts with your smile and we are here to help you. From tooth whitening to tooth replacement; cosmetic dentistry can give you the beautiful smile you deserve.

Zoom™ Whitening

North Idaho Dental Group is pleased to offer the Zoom Tooth Whitening system in our Coeur d’ Alene office. We’ve selected the Zoom system because it is the fastest, most effective tooth bleaching system currently available. You may be familiar with the Zoom brand through several television programs including ABC’s Extreme Makeover.

Please visit the Zoom Whitening web site for more info. You can watch how it works, hear the testimonials of satisfied Zoom patients, or (if you’re a real science nut), go directly to the clinical studies that demonstrate its effectiveness and safety.

Botox™ and Juvederm®

We conveniently offer Juvederm® and Botox™ treatments in both our Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint locations.

Juvederm® TREATMENTS

Juvederm® is made of hyaluronic (HA) acid, a sugar that occurs naturally in human tissues. HA acts like a sponge by pulling in fluid and retaining it. This keeps the tissue plump and full.

Botox™ Treatments

Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles to temporarily treat moderate severe frown lines of adults 18 to 65 years of age.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a popular option for permanently replacing missing teeth. People missing one or more teeth may experience difficulties chewing and speaking. In addition, when teeth are missing, the supporting bone begins to disintegrate, leading to gum disease, sunken cheeks and poor bite alignment.

Dental implants are small titanium posts placed into the jawbone. Titanium is a highly versatile material that is able to fuse with your own bone over time. When artificial teeth are attached to the implants, they are extremely durable and look very natural. Root form implants, the most common type of dental implants, are designed to closely mimic the shape and size of your natural tooth root. They are commonly used when there is sufficient jawbone to support the implants

Veneers and Bonded Porcelain

Porcelain veneers, also called dental veneers or porcelain laminates, are thin molded shells of ceramic that are cemented directly onto a damaged or discolored tooth's surface. Veneers are one of the newest and most popular methods for repairing or improving an imperfect smile.

The techniques used in designing and applying porcelain veneers require technical expertise and attention to cosmetic detail. North Idaho Dental Group is highly skilled in designing unique custom veneers to fit each patients individual needs.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are a very effective solution when a significant portion of a tooth's biting surface is damaged or decayed. Inlays and onlays can be made of gold, composite or tooth colored porcelain, depending on which teeth require repair.

If the damage or decay is relatively small, we will consider whether an inlay or tooth colored filling is more appropriate. Inlays are similar to fillings because they fit into a space in the tooth. Unlike fillings, inlays are shaped and prepared in a laboratory.

If the damage or decay is fairly extensive, we will evaluate whether an onlay or a crown is a better solution. Like inlays, onlays are prepared in a lab, but they replace a greater proportion of the surface area of your tooth. Onlays are sometimes called partial crowns.
